This company is one of Australia's leading providers of Conference, Event, Incentive, and Travel Management. This boutique event management agency specialises in both domestic and international conferences, incentives and events. They are looking for an experienced Travel Executive to join their rapidly growing team!
The Role:
The Event Manager role will report to the Operations Manager and the Event Director. As a valued professional of the operations team, the role is responsible for understanding the event strategy and operationally bringing it to life. This position is responsible for the operational management of program; planning, coordinating and executing the event strategy.
Key Responsibilities include;
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Senior Event Coordinator or an Event Manager with EventsAIR experience. Ideally, the candidate will have conference and/or incentive experience. The candidate will have excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and stakeholder management skills.

The Role:
The Event Manager role will report to the Operations Manager and the Event Director. As a valued professional of the operations team, the role is responsible for understanding the event strategy and operationally bringing it to life. This position is responsible for the operational management of program; planning, coordinating and executing the event strategy.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Event Management: Responsible for the overall operational management of programs, managing all elements in the lead-up to, during and after the program. Prepare all operational documents; critical path, operations bible, run sheets, and relevant event software reports.
- Registration and Delegate Management: Provide support and guidance to the event coordinator on registration and delegate management. Ensure regular and appropriate communications have been sent to the client and attendees; registration summary, confirmation letters, itineraries and is outlined in the critical path.
- Supplier Relationships & Management: Develop and maintain strategic supplier relations. Ensure suppliers have been supplied with an appropriate briefing, documents and reports from the time of engagement through to delivery and post-event.
- Client Relationship Development & Management: A strong understanding of the client, their company and program goals and objectives.
- Budget & Financial Management: Ensure programs are delivered on budget. Ensure client cash flow and invoicing are up-to-date. Strict management of client budget through requoting and negotiations supported by cost savings and value-adds.
- Research, Meeting and Presentations: Research destinations, products and market trends.
- Branding, Theme, Content & Collateral: Ensure the overall look and feel of the event brand and messaging is across all communication and collateral.
- Creative & Production: Bring the event brand and message to life through signage, props, décor, furniture, set design, AV, technology and an endless list of executions.
- Talent Management: Research and recommend talent options across programs; speakers, MC’s bands, musicians and other entertainment requirements.
- Site Inspections: Plan and operate client site inspections domestically and internationally ensuring the event strategy including goals and objectives are clearly defined and met.
- Onsite Management: Successful management of the client, overall event, suppliers and staff. Conduct pre-cons, briefings, rehearsals and WIPs onsite. Ability to travel on programs as required. Work additional hours and weekends as required.
- Evaluation: Participate in the debrief process ensuring key learnings are applied not only to the next program and department but overall company. Feedback on all suggestions for improvement and market research to appropriate personnel.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Senior Event Coordinator or an Event Manager with EventsAIR experience. Ideally, the candidate will have conference and/or incentive experience. The candidate will have excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and stakeholder management skills.
